After back spasms forced Andy Pettitte to miss his scheduled start on Saturday, the Yankees were hoping that Pettitte would return to pitch on either Tuesday or Wednesday against the Arizona Diamondbacks.

That's not case, as the Yankees will now have the 40-year old Pettitte come back on Friday in Toronto, for precautionary reasons.

Pettitte didn't complain about the decision, but feels he could pitch Tuesday or Wednesday. He understands the precaution about waiting until Friday, saying "I'm on board, to an extent. I want to pitch".

As for the rest of the Yankee starters, the rotation that will face the Arizona, lines up with Nova on Tuesday, Sabathia on Wednesday, and Hughes on Thursday.
