According to NE Baseball Journal, the Yankees have reached an agreement with their third round pick of the 2014 MLB Draft, RHP Austin DeCarr. He is expected in Tampa tomorrow to complete the deal, which will be twice his slot value.

DeCarr, is one of the few prep player's they drafted, and considering he needed to be paid twice his slot to sign, it's no surprise they drafted so few other prep players.  The Yankees must have known he was going to be expensive and stayed away from other tough signs because of him. DeCarr is considered a good get in this round, and is a bit more polished than most kids his age.
