The Yankees don't win games on the weekend, but they are playing pretty well during the normal work week. After falling to the Baltimore Orioles, 8-0, yesterday, the Yankees have dropped seven straight weekend games going back to June 1. On the other side of things, they enter Monday night's series opener against the Toronto Blue Jays on a 10-game.

Toronto, who leads currently holds a 1.5 game lead in the AL East, dropped it's last two games to the Cincinnati Reds and just placed third baseman Brett Lawrie on the disabled list today with a fractured right index finger suffered during the Jays' visit to New York last week.

One of the league's top MVP candidates, Jose Bautista, is sitting out tonight's game with a hamstring issue. He is currently listed as day-to-day.

Tonight's lineup against Toronto:

LF Brett Gardner
DH Carlos Beltran
CF Jacoby Ellsbury
1B Mark Teixeira
C Brian McCann
3B Kelly Johnson
2B Brian Roberts
RF Ichiro Suzuki
SS Brendan Ryan

P Chase Whitley
