Going with a couple of big first baseman back-to-back, the Yankees used the 392 pick to take 5-10, 255 pound right-handed first baseman Bo Thompson out of The Citadel in South Carolina.

Thompson played in 56 games in college this past season, hitting 14 homeruns with 52 RBIs, while batting just under .300 at .299. It's clear the Mark Teixeira won't be around forever, so the Yankees seem to be piling up on first baseman, hoping that any one of them will break out and be their next big thing at first base.
