David Huff was claimed off a waivers by the Yankees on Saturday and he joined the team in Tampa Sunday morning prior to the Yankees series finale against the Rays.

Huff made his debut in the 8th inning to relieve a struggling CC Sabathia after he allowed seven runs in seven innings. Huff walked struck out the 1st batter he faced before walking the next two.

Sam Fuld grounded into a fielders choice leaving runners at the corners for Desmond Jennings to send a double into left field scoring Fuld from 3rd.

Huff was then able to retire Ryan Roberts to end the innings. The lefty
threw 17 strikes on 30 pitches in one full inning while walking two, striking out one, and allowing one run on one hit.
