I hope you weren't already having a bad day, because what I'm about to tell you is going to hurt.

The NY Post is reporting that Yankees ace Masahiro Tanaka is heading back to New York today to get an MRI on his right arm. No word on what might be the problem, but for now all we can do is wait.

Tanaka had his worst start of the season last night against the Cleveland Indians, allowing five runs on 10 hits in 6 2/3 innings in a 5-3 Yankees loss at Progressive Field.

Named an All-Star on Sunday, the leading Rookie of the Year candidate is 12-4 with a 2.51 ERA in 18 starts covering 129 1/3 innings this season for the Yankees. He's been not only their best pitcher, but one of the best in baseball.

It's safe to say that if he's hurt, the Yankees' season is over. Fingers crossed, people.
