The Yankees recent trip to Colorado didn't exactly firing on all cylinders like many would have expected. But the the Yankees are in Kansas City to battle a much improved Royals ballclub.

As I mentioned, the Yankees only managed six runs over three games against the Rockies and where shutout in the first game of the series on Tuesday.

Pitching was the key to the Yankees winning in Colorado. Hiroki Kuroda allowed only two runs in his start on Tuesday. David Phelps gave up two on Wednesday. Sabathia gave up one yesterday in only four innings after had to leave the game because of a two hour rain delay.

The Yankees bullpen was even better as it only allowed one run over the three games and Mariano Rivera picked up a save in the last two games.

Probable Starters:

Fri: Hughes vs Davis
Sat: TBD vs Shields
Sun: TBD vs Santana
